On December 19,2018, the freshman class elected their class officers. They a class president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer. The new class President is Naiya Schankowitz and her supporting vice president is Madison Bryant. The class treasurer is Christina Do; the class secretary is Nevaeh Eck-Shade. Many do not know the roles and the importance of these new class leaders. Here is a short synopsis of each role.

On December 30th and December 31st the Bethlehem Steelstacks held their 10th annual Peepsfest celebration. The event consists of all sorts of activities that children and their parents can participate in such as a scavenger hunt, balloon making, a mascot run, live music, and a Peepsonality contest in which you could create an outfit inspired by the chick-shaped and bunny-shaped marshmallows. The main event occurs on December 31st in which a 4 foot, 9-inch tall Peep (weighing in at 400 pounds) is dropped to commemorate the new year.

Various censored discussions of in school topics and out of school activities create the basis for an off the wall conversation from these four with occasional guest hosts.

Every year students obsess over the weather in the winter. Every freshman turns into a junior meteorologist and tries to figure out exactly when and how our school schedule will be interrupted by snow days, early dismissals and 2-hour delays. So, in the spirit of trying to avoid going to school in the winter, we decided to take a look at our winter break this year.

In 2005, Carol Aebersold wrote the book, “The Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition”, beginning the newly loved Christmas tradition. Around 2013, this tradition blew up. Many families began buying these elves to place around their homes and join in on the fun to find Santa’s little elf. So, what’s the story behind these elves?
