I have been interested in makeup ever since I was in sixth grade. Since then, I have spent a lot of money and tried many different products that have been popularized by social media. Some of the products I bought, such as the Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil and Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder were not worth my money and made me regret my decision. However, some products that were highly rated on social media were 100% worth it and are my all-time favorites.
10. Merit Day Glow Dewy Highlighting Balm
This product is perfect; it is easy to apply and looks natural. It looks like you are glowing from within. You may think I am crazy for spending $30 on this, but in my opinion, the price is justifiable. It is extremely long-lasting, comes with a good amount of product, and feels very lightweight.
9. Kosas Cloud Set Baked Setting Powder
This product is the best powder I have ever tried. Since I have Sahara-dry skin, many powders make my makeup look cakey and overly matte. It works for all skin types and makes everyone look airbrushed. To me, the $34 price tag is worth it because it looks and feels very natural and lightweight. It also performs very well.
8. Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer
I first purchased this lip gloss back in sixth grade for my winter formal. If you want to look like a Disney princess, this is perfect for you. It looks so good for homecoming and prom makeup. It lives up to the “universal” in its name since it literally looks beautiful on everyone.
7. Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray
Every time I do my makeup, I literally drench my face in this setting spray. Is it expensive? Yes. Do I mind? No. My makeup will not budge after using this spray. It smells good and it feels refreshing. I wish I could bathe in this, to be honest. I am usually always on the lookout for cheaper versions of my favorite expensive products and I have yet to find one for this setting spray.
6. Benefit Cosmetics: Precisely, My Brow Pencil Waterproof Eyebrow Definer
My favorite thing about this eyebrow pencil is how it works in the way you want it to. If you want natural eyebrows, it will do exactly that for you. If you want extremely dark and full eyebrows like 2016 James Charles, it can do exactly that. It also comes with a spoolie brush on one end which is useful to brush and shape your eyebrows.
5. L’Oréal Telescopic Mascara
This mascara does an excellent job at lengthening eyelashes and separating them. This product was and still is very popular on Tik Tok which makes sense since it performs well and is fairly affordable at $11.99 compared to other mascaras. There is no reason to spend $30 on mascara when it is only supposed to last for 6 months.
4. Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter
I will never stop praising this product even though it is $44. It is extremely universal; it can be used as a base, primer or highlighter. However, it seems that this product doesn’t work well for oily or acne-prone skin since it makes them look greasy. On dry skin, it gives a natural, healthy glow. It also blends seamlessly.
3. Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer
This concealer has been my favorite for the past year, and I want it to be buried with me. It has nice coverage, blends out nicely, and does not crease. It is very hard to find a concealer like this which makes the price of $31 justifiable. I have yet to find a dupe for this product.
2. Clarins Lip Comfort Oil
$27 sounds ridiculous for lip oil; I know. But no one understands the feeling of this product until they try it. There are 8 shades that look amazing on everyone. It isn’t sticky and has a nourishing formula. I do not know why people still buy the glamorized Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil for $35 when this product exists.
1. Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush
It should be no surprise that this product is at the top of my list. It is long-lasting and has many shades with different finishes. Almost everyone loves this product. It is extremely pigmented, and there is a lot of product. When I say a little goes a long way, I am not kidding. Even a dot is too much sometimes. I do not think it will ever run out; it will probably last long enough for it to be passed down to my grandchildren. On the Sephora website, it has 4.5 out of 5 stars. A review reads, “This is one of those “TikTok made me buy it”. I’m so glad I did because this shade is everything. I mix it with my concealer under my eyes and it looks AMAZING!! It’s also perfect for the makeup-no makeup look. I love the formula and let’s be honest the packaging is super cute. This is a must-have for summer.”
