Almost all grocery stores are booked months out to get curbside delivery. Due to the high demand of online delivery and curbside pick up, many grocery stores have not been able to meet that demand.
Independent delivery services such as Peapod, Instacart, and Shipt, owned by places like Giant and Target, are also overwhelmed.
Therefore, it is important that once you are able to go to a grocery store, get a delivery, or pick up groceries, you should be selecting pantry staples like rice, flour, and dry pasta which are ingredients in many recipes. With these items you can make large quantities that last for several meals.
