Boys’ Basketball Star Players, Making Moves to Get into Districts

By Quinn Witman

The Boy’s basketball team ended their regular season last Tuesday at Southern Lehigh, losing 60-56 but ending with a great season. The boys ended their season with a 12-10 record, while making districts for the first time since 2017.

There were a lot of star players this year for the team. Senior shooting guard, Patrick Foley, led the team in scoring this season along with breaking the school record for most 3 pointers in a game. Also, in the same game, he dropped a career high of 34 points.

Another key player that contributed to the team was forward Trey Weber, who made it to the VIA All Star game for seniors this year. He also had a career high against Southern Lehigh in a tough loss last week.

Another huge part of the team’s success was junior point guard, Quintin Stephens, who led the team in assists and steals and was the star player in a huge league win against Northwestern. He helped secure a district playoff seat.

Joe Panariello is also a big part of the team’s results with a 3 game stretch where he led the team in scoring with 12 points per game.

Last but not least, junior center Quinn Warmkessel led the team in rebounding and had a critical block against Northwestern to help seal the game.

The boys’ first district game will be held on Friday, 2/21 versus Wilson with the location TBD. With playing the Warriors before and losing 60-50, the Falcons will come out strong and prepared to fight for the win. Be sure to go support the Falcons and cheer loudly!
