Homecoming Parade

By Ella DeFazio

To kick off the start of the school year, Salisbury High School’s Annual Homecoming Parade was held before the Homecoming football game.

The parade commenced on Friday, October 4th and was to welcome back former Salisbury High School students and support the football team.

SHS clubs, sports, and other activities created floats and threw candy to families watching the parade. To bring together the community, elementary and middle school students in SYA sports and school activities, also created floats and handed out candy.

A tradition in the parade is the line of vintage cars that lead the parade. The members of Salisbury’s Homecoming Court dressed up and rode a float in the parade.
