As the football season came racing to an end, the senior football players, cheerleaders, and marching band members played home one last time.
Prior to the start of the game against Palmerton on Friday, October 18th, the school honored the 15 senior football players and their families as they walked out onto the field. Each of the senior boys gave a brief description of their time at Salisbury High School and their plans for the future as the audience cheered for their favorite players.
During halftime, the senior cheerleaders and marching band members did the same as they and their families were also honored.
Emotions flew as they too performed at the stadium one last time. From the beginning, the Falcons showed their determination to win their final home game with an ending score of 27-14.
Here is a recap of all the seniors’ times at Salisbury and their future plans:
Football Players:
Devon Alder: Devon, along with football, has participated in wrestling for four years and later plans to enroll in the military.
Colin Byrnes: Colin has played football since he was 5-years-old and has decided to attend an undetermined college in the fall, but he is still undecided on his major.
Timmy Buda: One of this year’s captains, Timmy has played football all four years of high school. Along with football, he also participates in track and field. In the future he hopes to attend a 4-year university for computer science.
Patrick Foley: This was Patrick’s first year on the football team; he also plays basketball, which he has lettered twice, and plans to attend a 4-year college for business.
Aaron Kahn: Aaron has been apart of the school’s soccer team for all 4 years of high school and the football team for two years. He plans to either go to college for business or join the military.
Kyle Killiri: Kyle has been a four year football team member and plans to go to a 4-year college or university, where he hopes to play football as well.
Blake Lettko: Blake has been apart of Key Club for three years and is currently an officer. He has letters in football three times and hopes to attend college or join the military. Later in life, he hopes to become a police officer.
Kaleb Lighting: In addition to football, Kaleb is a part of track, wrestling, and Key Club. After graduation, he hopes to either join the navy or study marine biology.
Kyle Pingarelli: Kyle has been part of basketball and Key Club during his time at Salisbury. After graduation he plans to attend Moravian College to study economics or psychology.
Koby Rollins: Koby has been a player on the football team for three years and after high school he plans on going to college for sports management.
Weston Schaffer: He has been football player since the age of 5 and currently plays wide receiver and safety on the team. Off the field he enjoys demolition derby.
Kade Simononis: A player since his freshman year, Kade has also been a STARS member for the past three years. In the future, he hopes to work on Wall Street.
Nicolas Straus: Nickolas is the middle school basketball manager and hopes to continue his education and become an active member of the community.
Gavin Strelecki: Gavin has played on the football team for two years, and also participates in track and field and Key Club. He hopes to study business and finances once he leaves Salisbury.
Jacob Ziegler: Along with football, Jacon participates in track and field and after high school hopes to study psychology and physical therapy.
Cheerleaders:
Temia Danner: Along with cheerleading, Temia also participates in track, STARS, and Key Club. She currently works at St. Luke’s Hospital and hopes to become a registered nurse.
Tyasia Dyer: Tyasia is a cheerleader for both football and basketball and is involved in Emerging Heath. She plans on attending Temple University on the pre-med track to later become a pediatric surgeon one day.
Madison Lash: Madison is the current Vice President of Key Club, and is a volunteer firefighter. She hopes to enter the healthcare industry in the future.
Nayeli Mendez: As well as cheer, Nayeli as been a STARS member for three years and is currently the club’s treasurer. She is also a part of the 2020 Class Advisory. In the future she hopes to go to college to study biology and pre-med.
Coralie Nesfeder: Coralie has been a part of the cheer team for eleven years and she is currently the 2020 class president. She hopes to become a physician’s assistant in the future.
Hali Prisaznik: Hali is currently a cheer captain, but has also studied dance for twelve years. She is also in No Place for Hate and Nation Honors Society. Hali will be continuing her education at Northampton Community College for dental.
Georgina Skoutelas: Currently, Georgina is a part of National Honors Society, STARS, and Key Club. She plans to attend college to become a physical therapist.
Kayla Renelli: Kayla has been a part of cheer for three years, and band for three years. She will continue her education at Slippery Rock University after graduation.
Marching Band:
Mellisa Do: She has lettered four times in band and has been the boy’s soccer team manager since freshman year. She hopes to attend a 4-year college to study accounting.
Abby Gross: Abby has been apart of Color Guard for six years, and theater. She plans to continue her education at Syracuse for photojournalism in the fall.
Emily Lamana: Emily is a part of the literature magazine, and was the Allentown Fair Queen. She is also involved in theater, band, and the bowling club. Emily will continue her education at Northampton Community College after Salisbury.
Julie Sizer: Along with marching band, Julie is involved in concert band and has lettered four times. She is also a part of National Honors Society and theater; she will attend University of Delaware in the fall.
Alex Suter: Alex is apart of STARs, Class Advisory, baseball, the bowling club, and Business Club. After Salisbury, he plans to enter the Coast Guard.
