By Ryann Thomson

Do you have a free weekend coming upunnamed? Go to one of the many fall attractions around the Lehigh Valley before it is too cold! Below are just a few places you and your friends can go for a day trip.

First off, is the famous Grim’s Orchard where you can go explore the pumpkin patch filled with beautiful pumpkins for you to decorate your house with for the fall season. The orchard is only a 22 minute drive from the high school and a fun activity for everyone.

If pumpkins are not your thing, try apple picking! There are numerous apple orchards around the Lehigh Valley including Bobwhite Acres, County Line Orchard, or Gulick’s Orchard. Afterwards, you can make all kinds of apple treats for your family and friends.

Want a challenge? Head to a local corn maze and test your navigation skills. You can find a nearby corn maze at Bear Rock Junction and Grim’s Orchard.

Go explore nature on a hike, while taking advantage of the beautiful fall weather. There are magnificent hiking trails all over the Lehigh Valley. However, the most popular are Bake Oven Knob, Wildlands Conservatory, and Hawk Mountain.

Lastly, take a relaxing hayride through the fields at Blue Ridge Ranch or Sleep Hallows Hayrides. Blue Ridge Ranch is open all week and only 40 minutes away!
