NFL Week 5

Brett Minnick

After a wild week 4 with plenty of surprises and upsets, NFL fans head into week 5 with high expectations for entertaining games.  Primetime matchups between high powered offenses like the Bucs vs the Patriots and a divisional Monday Night game between the Bears and Vikings are some of the premiere games of the week.  The Texans also take on the still undefeated Chiefs on Sunday Night Football. Deshaun Watson is coming off a 5 touchdown performance and has been proclaimed as the real deal by a wide variety of experts such as fantasy guru Matthew Berry and Superbowl winning coach Jon Gruden.

The most interesting game in this week is the Sunday matchup between the Rams and Seahawks. The Rams are looking good this year with Jared Goff living up to his #1 overall pick hype and Todd Gurley running through defenses. The Seahawks have shown signs of a top tier offense but have struggled on many drives and have only mustered 9 and 12 points in two games this year. The Legion of Boom also looks susceptible this year. The legendary defense is the 14th ranked defense so far this year according to the NFL’s statistics. Compared to the 5th ranked offense of the Rams and their playmakers on defense, such as Aaron Donald, this could prove to be a much harder matchup for the Seahawks than fans may think. Based on how good the Rams have looked this year and the Seahawks spotty offense, I’m gonna have the Rams winning this one and showing they are a potential playoff team.
