Who are the new teachers? Well, let’s start with something simple, names, since some people might not know them. Miss. Schiavone, Miss. de Conde, and Miss. Cherry. Knowing the simple facts about our new teachers is the most important thing, so what are their favorite colors? Miss. Schiavone and Miss. de Conde share the same favorite color of yellow, and Miss. Cherry’s favorite color is purple.
Miss. Schiavone, teaches Alg/Geo I, Algebra I, and Algebra II. Although this is her first school she’s teaching at, she is very excited to be here. So far her favorite experience here with us students was at the pep-rally playing the “Hungry Hippos” game against the student teams. Overall, she says that so far her time at Salisbury has been absolutely fun.
Miss. Cherry teaches Spanish I, III, IV. Before coming here to Salisbury she taught Spanish I for 8th grade at Saucon Valley Middle School as a substitute. Miss. Cherry was asked if she likes it here. “Yes!” she said. “The staff is very helpful and students are motivated to learn.” Her experiences with her students is watching them enjoy playing competitive games and participating in the dynamic lessons. She even wants to start a Spanish club!
Last but not least, Miss. de Conde, who teaches 12th grade English, AP Literature, Newspaper, and 10th grade Honors English. Before she came here to Salisbury, she taught 11th grade English in St. Louis, Missouri. So far her experiences with us students have been great. “Students are willing to challenge themselves and help each other.” she states.
The new teachers are amazing, so let’s give them a great first year here at Salisbury.
