SHS Broadway Night

On Monday, June 6 at 7:00, Salisbury High School Theatre presented Broadway Night. Members of the theater performed various numbers from Broadway shows, such as “Popular” from Wicked and “Something There” from Beauty and the Beast. Abigail Garrigan, Carolyn Boulay, and Aine Shay were the student directors and Matthew Fainor was the emcee.
Broadway Night was also a chance for the seniors of the theater to go out on the stage one last time with their friends before they graduate. The members of the Salisbury High School Theater performed a total of 14 songs from famous Broadway shows. There were 2 acts with 7 songs in each and a 10 minute intermission between them. The other performances were solos, duets, trios or consisted of about 6-7 people singing.
Haley Bergstrom sang “Part of Your World” from Little Mermaid and Scheccid Alayola performed “There’s a Fine, Fine Line” from Avenue Q. “Romeo and Juliet” from Reefer Madness was performed by the duo of Will Erwin and Nina Elias. Abigail Garrgan, Carolyn Boulay, Jesse Long, Scheccid Alayold, Aliyah Kinney, and Sophie Ravenelle sang “Cell Block Tango” from Chicago and featured Jack Kubinec in their performance. The last performance, “December, 1963” from Oh What a Night consisted of the entire company.
The members of Salisbury High School Theatre provided lots of fun for those of the community and created a night full of great performances.
