Salisbury Education Association Scholarship Opportunity
By Adrian Espinal
The Salisbury Education Association will award a $500 scholarship to a graduating senior in good academic standing who plans on pursuing a career in elementary or secondary education. The students who are planning on participating must write a 350-word essay referring to the following prompt: “Why is education important in today’s world, and why have you selected teaching as a career?”
This is a blind essay competition, so participants are not allowed to put their names on them. All essays must be submitted to Mrs. Zapf in the Guidance Office by Friday, May 6. She will then assign your essay a number so the judges will not know your identity. This scholarship will be presented during the Class of 2016 Commencement.
